Leicester City summer signing Kelechi Iheanacho will be a better player for the senior national team of Nigeria following his move to the Foxes according to coach Gernot Rohr.
Iheanacho didn’t play much at Manchester City last season as new coach Pep Guardiola failed to give him the sort of playing time he enjoyed during the spell of coach Manuel Pellegrini.
His departure to Leicester City according to Rohr will benefit the senior national team of Nigeria, as he will be in good shape for the team in their upcoming qualifiers.
“We are happy for him because at Leicester he can have much more games than at Man City. He missed a little bit of his competitive edge in the months when he wasn’t playing.
“Now I believe this transfer is good news for us because he will have enough games at his new club”, Rohr exclusively told Owngoalnigeria.com.
