Why Rabiu Ibrahim Is Yet To Make Debut After Big Money Move To Slovan Bratislava

‎A reason as to why Rabiu Ibrahim is yet to make his debut for Slovakian side Slovan Bratislava has been revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com editorial team by the player himself.

Rabiu was transferred to the Slovakian side for the sum of 1 million euros from Belgium side Gent, a fee which makes him the most expensive signing in the history of the football league in Slovakia, but the 26 year old is yet to play his first game at the club.

Nicknamed the new Austin Okocha when he burst onto the scene with the Nigeria U17 team in 2007, the ‎26 year old who is tied to the club on a four year deal revealed why he has not made his debut.

” I have been having ankle issues since my transfer, as a matter of fact I was feeling the pain when I moved to Slovan, but I’m getting better now. Hopefully I will return by the end of this month”, Rabiu exclusively told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I’m eager to show the fans what I am made of, and I know they also want to see me play, but we have to be patient with these things especially if the injury has to do with the ankle. Slowly but surely I will return to my best”.
