Super Eagles Hopeful Simmy Nwankwo Scores Hattrick For Serie A Side Crotone

Italian Serie A side Crotone warmed up for the start of the new Italian Serie A season by thrashing low league side Roccella 8-0 in their final pre season game.

Nigerian forward Simmy Nwankwo who is hoping to earn a call up to the senior national team of Nigeria scored a hat-trick in the game, finding the back of the net in the 64th, 88th and 90th minute.

He wasn’t the only player on the side of Crotone who scored thrice in the game as fellow striker Giuseppe ‎Borello also did same with Adrian Stoian and Marcus Rohden completing the rout.

Last season Simmy as he is fondly called scored just three league goals following his transfer from second division Portuguese side Gil Vicente last summer.

The 25 year old is however hoping for a better season this time around, and the hat-trick will no doubt put him in a positive state of mind ahead of the start of the Serie A season this weekend.
