On loan Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode made his debut for Spanish La-Liga side Girona as they let slip a two goal lead to draw 2-2 against 10-man Atletico Madrid.
Kayode was officially cleared to feature for Girona yesterday, and was named on the bench where he watched on as his team raced into an early two goals lead.
Two goals from Cristian Stuani within a space of three minutes in the 22nd and 25th minutes respectively put the newly promoted side in the driving seat as both teams head into the dressing room for the half time break.
Angel Correa began the fight back for Atletico Madrid with a goal in the 78th minute before Jose Gimenez struck seven minutes later to help them draw 2-2 despite the sending off of Antoine Griezmann in the 67th minute.
Kayode was introduced for Christian Portu in the 84th minutes, one minutes before Gimenez struck the leveller. He still made his presence felt in the game in the 93rd minute when he directed a header which was parried to safety by the goalkeeper of Atletico Madrid.
