Striker Who Wants To Play For Nigeria Ahead Of Belgium Scores For Utrecht Again

‎22 year old Belgian-Nigerian forward Cyriel Dessers found the back of the net for his Dutch side Utrecht to power them to a 2-1 win over Willem II in the Eredivisie.

Dessers struck the second goal for Utrecht in the 7th minute after Zakaria Labyad has given them the lead two minutes into the game. The goal was the third in two games for Dessers.

His goal scoring start to the season has already caught the fancy of officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) who have already made contact with the forward in view of a possible call up.

Already the forward has voiced out his preference to play for Nigeria ahead of Belgium, where he was once upon a time called up to their youth team but didn’t get to play.

No doubt he will add firepower to the attack of Nigeria as coach of the senior national team Gernot Rohr is currently on the look out for a classic number 9 after the failed experience with Kelechi Iheanacho especially against South Africa.
