Former Nigeria youth international Taiwo Awoniyi was among the star performers for Belgium side Mouscron as they recover from a two goal deficit to beat 10 man Gent 3-2.
The Nigerian was handed his second straight start and although he failed to match his last week feat when he scored one of their goals, the recently turned 20 year old put in a commendable shift in the attack of the team.
Mouscron went two goals down early into the game but fought back to nick all three points after Gent were reduced to ten men following the sending off of Samuel Gigot.
Two goals within a space of three minutes helped them edge the five goal thriller 3-2 after drawing level seven minutes after the hour mark, with their Nigerian forward Awoniyi giving Gent all sort of trouble at the back.
He lasted the entire duration of the game and earned praises from fans of the club, where he is slowly becoming a favourite of not just the coach but the entire family of the club.
