Nura Abdullahi is in line for his first ever competitive game with the first team of Italian Serie A side Roma when they take on Inter Milan this weekend in their second game of the season.
The Nigerian has been at the club for two seasons since his move from Serie B side Spezia but injuries have restricted him to just games with the Primavera side of the club.
However he had a very good pre season and has been handed a squad number 22, and he made the bench in their opening day 1-0 win away to Atalanta, where faith slightly opened the door for him to play this weekend following injury to regular right back Bruno Perez.
The defender according to a statement on the official website of the Serie A side is expected to be out for the next 15 days, potentially creating an opening for Nura to be handed his debut.
Nura who missed out on a move to Barcelona after he was diagnosed with a minor heart defect is the back up to the Brazilian in the first team of Roma, but it’s not known yet if coach coach Eusebio Di Francesco will hand him a start or re-jig his tactics to make up for the injured Perez.
