Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva failed to make it to the group stages of the UEFA Champions League after losing 0-1 to Slovenian side NK Maribor in the qualifiers to crash out on a 1-2 aggregate score.
Newly invited Super Eagles forward Anthony Nwakaeme who scored a cracking goal in the first leg tie in Isreal which Be’er Sheva won 2-1 failed to produce same magic last night.
Nwakaeme who is among the list of players called up by the coach of the Nigeria team for their upcoming World Cup 2018 Qualifiers against Cameroon as first reported by this site was on for the entire duration of the game.
Despite their failure to progress on the net, the 28 year old was one of the best players on the pitch for the Israeli side with his link up play and crosses troubling the backline of the Slovenian side.
His Nigerian compatriot at the club John Ogu who is also in the Super Eagles squad for the games against Cameroon was also on for the entire duration of the game.
