Former golden boy of Nigerian football Macauley Chrisantus made a positive impression for Polish side Wisla Krakow where he is currently undergoing trial after his Spanish side Reus released him from his contract.
Chrisantus arrived the club for trials three days back and immediately showed some of the old traits that made him one of the hottest teenager in World Football back in 2007, when he scored seven goals to power Nigeria to the U17 World Youth Championship title.
He scored a hat-trick in his first test game yesterday, and his treble include a cheeky back heel as they secure a big win over a Polish amateur team.
Wisla Krakow have been on the trail of Chrisantus since 2014 when he was at Las Palmas, but they will be hoping to get their man now as a free agent if he continues his goal scoring run in test games.
27 year old Chrisantus has suffered so many setbacks in his quest to relaunch his career after leaving German Bundesliga side Hamburg. His stint with Las Palmas where he spent two seasons still remains his best still date.
Since leaving the Spanish side in 2014, he failed to hit same height at Turkish side Sivasspor, Greek side AEK Athens and also last season at Reus where he made only nine appearance.
