A top chief of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says FIFA has given Nigeria the all clear to use ex England youth international Ola Aina in competitive games.
Aina failed to make his debut for Nigeria in their 4-0 win over Cameroon in yesterday’s World Cup 2018 Qualifiers as FIFA were yet to clear him to play for Nigeria after switching allegiance to Nigeria from England, where he played at different youth levels.
” It’s up to the coach to decide if he wants to use him or not. But we have received clearance from FIFA to use him in games. It has further sweetened the joy of yesterday’s win”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” I’m not the coach, hence I can’t tell you if he will play in Yaounde or not, although feelers has it that he could make his debut in Yaounde against Cameroon. His quality will no doubt improve the Super Eagles”.
