Out of contract Nigeria international midfielder Nosa Igiebor has joined MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps according to an official announcement by the team.
He has been on the books of Turkish side Hapoel Tel Aviv since returning back to the country from where his performances for Hapoel Tel Aviv earned him a high profile move to La-Liga side Real Betis.
His two year stint at Real Betis didn’t go as planned and since his return to Israel he has not truly made his mark like he did during his first stint in the country.
Igiebor spent the last six months of his remaining deal on loan to relegated Turkish side Rizespor , where he made 13 appearance and scored once in their bid to beat the drop.
The 26 year old will be hoping to relaunch his career in the MLS with the Canadian side, where his form could earn him a return back to Europe next summer.
Already he has damaged his chance of forcing his way into the national team of Nigeria, after sensational claiming he is better than most midfielders coach Gernot Rohr picked ahead of him in the 2-0 win away to Zambia in Ndola.
