Dennis Bonaventure Ends Goal Drought For Club Brugge With Brace In Cup Win

Dennis Bonaventure ended a barren run in front of goal for Belgium side Club Brugge with a brace in their 5-1 Beker Van Belgie win away to Roeselare ‎.

The 19 year old found the back of the net in the 5th and 30th minute of the game to bring to an end a one month goal drought which stretches back to the 11th of August when he last scored against Zulte-Waregem.

Bonaventure became an instant hit in Belgium following his transfer from Ukrainian side Zorya as he scored four League goals in his first four games for the club.

However a knock and subsequent fitness issue saw him missed out on some games, but the forward who is nicknamed “Nigerian Neymar” showed his instincts in front of goal against Roeselare in the Cup game.

The brace means he has now found the back of the net seven times in 8 games for Club Brugge in all competitions, a very impressive run considering his absence from at least four games.
