Ex Mighty Jets Forward Donatus Edafe Continues Fine Form In Slovenia With Brace For Gorica

Donatus Edafe emerged as the hero for his Slovenian side Gorica after scoring a brace to power them to a 3-0 win over Sampion Celje in the Slovenian Cup.

Edafe struck the back of the net in twice in four minutes in the 84th and 88th minutes respectively to wrap up a comprehensive victory for his team, who went into the half time break tied at 0-0.

23 year old Edafe who joined the Slovenian side in January from Mighty Jets Football Club of Jos has so far surpassed his last season tally of one league goal from 8 games, as he presently has two goals from same amount of game.

The brace against Sampion Celje takes his tally for the season to five goals in all competitions, a sign of how well he has found his feet in Slovenia after a not too impressive time last season.

He has a similar style of playing like former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins ‎, and his all round style has endeared him to fans of the club as they bid to build on the second place finish they had in the league last season.
