Ahmed Musa Relegated To Leicester City Reserve Team, Shines Against Chelsea U23

The former vice captain of the senior national team of Nigeria Ahmed Musa has lost his first team spot at English Premier League side Leicester City after an indifferent start to the season.

Musa has failed to break into Craig Shakespeare squad since the start of the English Premier League, and after warming the bench in the Carabao Cup clash against Liverpool, he lined up today for the U23s.

Musa was on from the start for the B team against the U23s of Chelsea and played a big role in their 2-0 win in the Premier League 2 fixture which was decided at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium.

The big money signing teed up George Thomas who scored both goals for his first goal of the night, with a smart drag back in the 25th minute, and almost came close to scoring late into the game.

First team manager of Leicester City Craig Shakespeare watched the entire duration of the game, where Musa will be hoping he has done enough to force his way back into the first team plans of the coach.
