Arsenal and Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Alex Iwobi is among football players who have a game ritual but according to him it’s not something attached to any superstitious beliefs.
Speaking in a short video interview posted on the official twitter handle of FourFourTwo , the man who scored the goal for Nigeria also tipped his childhood friend Chuba Akpom as the player most likely to make a breakthrough at Arsenal this season.
“I don’t real have anything, the only superstition, I don’t really view it as one is probably my lock socks, and I just do it to be comfortable “, Iwobi said when asked about his pre match rituals.
In response to which player will make the breakthrough this season at Arsenal, he tipped Akpom but admitted it could be any one because no one can actually tell who will come through next.
” I don’t really know who to expect you never know who will come through. But I’d say Chuba Akpom will be the next to join.
“He and Glen Kamara are probably my best friends at the club. I’ve known Chuba since I was three years old, Glen came at U16s and he’s just a joker of the team – I’m really close with him”, he remarked.
