Rohr Speaks On Importance Of Friendly Games Against European Countries

Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has laid emphasis on why the Super Eagles of Nigeria need to play friendly games against European opposition before the World Cup in Russia next year.

Already Nigeria have secured a high profile friendly against South America powerhouse Argentina for the 14th of November in Russia, but Rohr is keen on his team facing European countries in the build up to the World Cup.

Already, the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) are studying a proposal from the senior national team of England for a friendly game, sometimes around next year if they are not in the same World Cup 2018 group after the draws in December.

“We will be playing friendly games against some European countries because, as you know, each group at the World Cup will have two teams from Europe so it is good to have a feel of what we are likely going to be coming up against at the competition.
