Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Chidozie Awaziem has been nominated by French club Nantes for the award of player of the month for October by the Ligue 1 side.
Awaziem was nominated alongside three other players namely Abdoulaye Toure, Leo Dubois and Diego Carlos for the award which the winner will be decided by votes from fans of the club.
The Nigerian defender has been ever present for the club in the month under review with a goal and assist to his name from his role as a defender, which also earned him a place in La-Liga team of the week.
On a season long loan from FC Porto, his performances have already caught the attention of French giants Lyon, a move which has forced Porto to offer him fresh terms.
Signed from Geelec Football Academy of Jos, the 20 year old is twi years into a five year deal signed with FC Porto which carries a buy out clause of £20m, a fee Porto want to renegotiate before the end of his loan at Nantes.
