On loan Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has expressed his delight at being called up to the senior national team of England, few weeks after he admitted that talks are on about a possible switch of allegiance to Nigeria.
Abraham who has settled down nicely at Swansea City, where he is on a season long loan from Chelsea confirmed talks were going on with Nigeria three weeks ago, two weeks after he denied talks about switching allegiance to Nigeria took place when he met with the president of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) Amaju Pinnick.
The England U21 forward made the list of players called up by coach of the senior team Gareth Southgate for the upcoming friendly games against Germany and Brazil, and he posted his joy at being called up by England on twitter.
In the post he talked about how proud he is to be called up to the England seniors and how words can’t describe his feelings. A post which suggest he never had Nigeria in mind despite confirming talks with the African nation over a switch of allegiance.
Words can’t describe the feeling but truly blessed and honoured to be called up to @England seniors 🙏🏾🦁⚽️thanks for all the messages ❤️
