Former Barcelona forward Emmanuel Amunike has sounded a note of warning to troubled Watford of England forward Isaac Success about his career urging him to stay focused if he wants to fulfil his potentials.
Success is presently under investigation over a row with three commercial sex workers after he allegedly demanded his money back due to his inability to have the ladies on bed, which according to the ladies boils down to his drunk state at the time of the incident.
Prior to the issue, he has struggled to stay fit since joining Watford from Spanish La-Liga side Granada two summers ago, no thanks to niggling injuries which has also cost him his place in the team.
Presently out injured after undergoing surgery in Barcelona last month, Amunike who coached the forward during his stint as assistant coach of Nigeria U17 wants him to buckle up and stay away from off pitch distractions.
” It was sad to hear about the unfortunate event but it has happened and he needs to pick himself up and move on. The truth is that football won’t last forever, so he needs to focus because his achievements today will help him stay relevant even when his playing days are over”, Amunike told Sportinglife.
” I must commend the club by standing by him and the comments of the manager (Marco Silva) has been very positive which shows that he believes in the player. I know Isaac very well because he trained with us at the U-17 level.
” He is strong, fast and has an eye for goal which can make him a great player in future but he needs to cut away behaviours that will affect his game”, Amunike concluded.
