Nigeria teen sensation Victor Osimhen has moved a step down to the Reserve team of German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg after failing to nail a spot in the first team.
Osimhen was in action for the Development Squad of the team against Derby County U23s in the Premier League International Cup tie which they lost 0-1, no thanks to an own goal by Dominik Franke.
The soon to be 19 year old was on from start to finish but failed to find the back of the net to help his team pick up a point, which would have helped them keep up their hope of progressing from their group.
Although he earned praises from new Wolfsburg coach Martin Schmidt his fortunes have not changed much in terms of playing time with the coach preferring the pair of Mario Gomez and Divock Origi to the Nigerian.
A loan move is reportedly on the cards for the forward as he bids for more playing time to help boost his chances of earning a recall to the senior national team of Nigeria.
