Joel Obi Knocking On Super Eagles Door With Strong Showing Against Inter-Milan

‎Forgotten Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi is seriously doing his best to force his way back into the plans of the coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr.

Joel Obi last played for Nigeria in 2014, no thanks to the numerous injuries he has suffered the past few years, same issues with injury caused him to miss six weeks of action for Torino.

However since returning to fitness, Obi has not just regained his spot in the team but has been very impressive in the two games he has played with his goal against Cagliari helping them to a 2-1 win on his return.

Obi picked up from where he left off against Cagliari against Inter-Milan, one of the early season contenders for the Scudetto in Italy, but the Nigerian held his own against the high flying midfielders of the title chasers..

Although he was substituted with a little over 18 minutes left to play, the Nigerian did enough to confirmed the reason why he was reinstated into the starting line up upon his return from injury.
