Moses Simon In Stitches, Out For Three Weeks, Injured In Swimming Pool Accident


The nature of the injury picked up by Super Eagles star forward Moses Simon has been unravelled to editorial team by Mohammed Mowiz Suleiman, who has close ties with the Gent forward.


Speaking to, Mowiz who anchors one of the most listened to sport programme in Northern Nigeria Sportsride on Liberty Radio said Simon is presently in stitches.

According to Mowiz, the incident happened just a day before their last league game in the swimming pool of the club located at their newly opened complex.

” He has a cut on his toe. It has been stitched and he will miss the next three weeks of football or so. The incident happened in the swimming pool of the team at their new complex”, Mowiz told

” It was a nasty cut, he is no doubt seriously pained by the unfortunate incident as he loves playing for Nigeria but such is life. A pity he can’t face Argentina with his current form “, he remarked.
