The Three Lions of England are on the verge of capturing another player eligible for Nigeria after highly rated Fulham youngster Taiwo Edun joined the first team in training today.
Last week Tammy Abraham who admitted he is in talks with Nigeria over a switch of allegiance was called up to the senior team of England, and the move made the England youth international to pledge his future to the Three Lions.
Although Abraham can still play for Nigeria even if he plays for England in their upcoming friendly games, the 20 year old closed the door on any possible change of mind by insisting he is happy to remain with England.
This morning, England Manager Gareth Southgate invited 19 year old England U20 star Edun who is eligible for Nigeria to join the first team in training.
Edun will however return to the U20s who are also in camp ahead of their engagement this weekend as well, but the invitation will no doubt give him a sense of belonging and also motivate him to focus on progressing through the ranks with the English team.
