The Super Eagles of Nigeria had their first training session yesterday ahead of their friendly game against Argentina tomorrow in Russia.
Coach Gernot Rohr split the players at his disposal into two groups with the players who played in the 1-1 draw against Algeria separated from those who didn’t get to play in the game.
During the session owngoalnigeria.com took particular interest in some players who are new to the team particularly goalkeeper Francis Odinaka Uzoho of Deportivo La Coruna and Amkar Perm Brian Idowu.
Uzoho impressed with his ball handling and reflexes while Idowu was solid in duels and used the ball very well in close spaces during the duration of the training session.
The duo were not the only player who did well during the session as on loan Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode looked very sharp in his bid to get a look in for Tuesday game.
