The Super Eagles of Nigeria could try a new formation against Argentina later today when they meet in a friendly game judging by the closing stages of their training session yesterday.
Coach Gernot Rohr could line up his wards with three central defenders, which might see them play the now famous 3-5-2 or 3-4-2-1 formation against Argentina.
Rohr experimented with the idea by playing the trio of Leon Balogun, Chidozie Awaziem and William Troost-Ekong as centre backs while Ola Aina and Shehu Abdullahi auditioned as left and right wing back respectively.
The midfield was anchored by rave of the moment John Ogu alongside Wilfred Ndidi, with captain John Obi Mikel playing just behind the more advanced duo of Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho in attack.
There’s no confirmation if that will be the line up for today’s game but Owngoalnigeria.com will as usual bring the line up to it’s readers hopefully before 12pm.
