Half-Time Report; Argentina 2-1 Nigeria – Iheanacho Scores Sublime Freekick

Nigeria are trailing Argentina by two goals to one in a friendly game which is ‎currently half way through as they are both in the changing room for the half time break.

In a game where chances were few and not clear cut, goalkeeper of the Nigerian team Daniel Akpeyi gifted Argentina the opening goal with two avoidable errors.

Argentina were handed a freekick at the edgel of Nigeria’s box when Akpeyi handled the ball outside the area under pressure from Sergio Kun Aguero, who took advantage of Akpeyi dropping the ball outside the box‎ .

From the resultant freekick, Ever Banega beat a poorly positioned Akpeyi, who didn’t arrange his wall properly ‎as well to give Argentina the lead.

Six minutes after the 30 minutes mark, Aguero made it 2-0 to Argentina profiting from a smart cross into the Nigerian box to tap into an empty net.

One minutes before the end of the half, Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho pulled a goal back for Nigeria with a sublime freekick from the edge of the box of Argentina.
