Iwobi Took His Goal Against Argentina With Composure – Arsenal Manager Wenger


Coach of Arsenal Arsene Wenger has joined the league of football lovers praising Alex Iwobi’s second goal for Nigeria in the 4-2 win over Argentina in a high profile friendly game on Tuesday in Russia.


Iwobi grabbed a brace in the game, but it is the quality of his second goal that has got everybody talking considering how well he finished what looked like a half chance when he received a pass at the edge of the box of Argentina.

He nutmegged ‎Argentina Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano before planting a left foot finish into the net of Argentina, and the manner which he took the goal has earned him praises from Wenger.

” Before he used to rush his finishing. But his finishing against Argentina showed the composure of a guy who knows what he’s doing, and with his left foot as well”, Wenger was quoted as saying by the official twitter handle of Arsenal.

” He’s worked a lot on his finishing and he’s improved a lot. Compared to one year ago, the difference is unbelievable “, Wenger explained.
