Ahmed Musa has expressed his desire to one day return to Russian side CSKA Moscow, the club where his form lead to his present team Leicester City signing him for a fee in the region of €20m.
Musa made this known while in Russia with the senior national team of Nigeria a week ago, before their 4-2 win over Argentina in a pre World Cup friendly.
Out of favour at Leicester City, the 24 year old was asked about the possibility of returning back to CSKA Moscow in the future and he admitted he will love to one day wear the clubs colours again.
” Of course, I try not to miss CSKA Moscow but it’s forever in my heart, and I will never the forget the team. It is part of me forever”, he told Philippe Papenkov of www.sport-express.ru while responding to questions on if he watches games of CSKA Moscow.
He however was coy when he was asked if he has any regret moving to English Premier League side Leicester City insisting that it was a risk he decided to take as it was a step forward.
Although he reiterated his commitment and desire to fight for his spot at Leicester City, he however sent a message to fans of CSKA Moscow, where he revealed he would one day love to come back and play for them.
” CSKA is forever in my heart, I’ll never forget it, and I hope that day will come when I will play again for the club. CSKA Moscow- the champions”.
