Newly appointed scout of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Victor Agali has been tasked by coach Gernot Rohr to search for options in the striking department of the team.
Rohr appointed Agali as one of his scouts ahead of the World Cup in Russia next year with a mandate to help the technical crew in the area of running the rule on strikers who can add to the value to the team.
So far bar Kelechi Iheanacho who is not an out an out striker, Odion Ighalo is the only major striker the team has especially when they want to play the favourite way of Rohr, which is playing with a lone striker.
Agali will run the rule on strikers who can be an option for the team properly as he was one during his playing days, and also understands the qualities Rohr loves in his forwards as he played under him at French Ligue 1 side Nice.
Already a list of strikers under consideration by the coach has been drafted and all what Agali will do is to review their performance and pick the ones who are good enough to be given a call up to the team ahead of their friendly games next year.
