Former Nigeria U17 and 20 forward Orji Okonkwo scored one of the goals for Bologna in their 3- 0 thrashing of Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A.
Last weekend Okonkwo opened his season account with a goal in their 3-2 win away to Bologna, and he repeated same feat this evening by coming off the bench to score the third goal for ten man Bologna.
Shortly after his goal last weekend, the 19 year old who was a part of the Nigerian team to the U17 World Cup in 2015 said he will keep on scoring until the senior national team coach of Nigeria Gernot Rohr notice his exploit.
” My aim is to keep on scoring goals to gain the attention of the national team selectors of Nigeria. I hear they are looking for a striker, so I want to be that man they are looking for, but I have to keep scoring goals to gain recognition “.
He stuck by his words with his latest goal against Sampdoria which is his third Serie A goal although he has found the back of the net six times for the B team in the Primavera League.
