On loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru was a torn in the flesh of Scottish Champions Celtic in Anderlecht 1-0 win in their final UEFA Champions League group game.
Onyekuru was handed a start in his favourite top striker role and although he didn’t get to score his runs behind the defence kept the Celtic defenders busy.
He was on for the entire duration of the game, which was decided by a 62nd minute own goal by Jozo Simunovic but still didn’t stop Celtic from progressing to the Europa League.
Anderlecht are now out of UEFA Cup competitions for this season with Onyekuru failing to score in any of their games although he has found the back of the net 8 times in the league.
He played in all six games played by Anderlecht in the UEFA Champions League and fired blanks in all of their games as they finish bottom of their group although same points with Celtic, who are condemned to the Europa League after finishing third.
