Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp says Chelsea Nigerian wing-back Victor Moses ranks among the best right wing-back in the world.
Moses made his first start for Chelsea since returning from a two months injury lay off last weekend and was pivotal in helping Chelsea beat Newcastle United 3-1.
Redknapp while speaking on the game said the Nigerian who bagged an assist and also played a role in the penalty won and converted by Chelsea has proven himself as one of the best in the role of right wing-back.
“He makes a huge difference. With the system they play with wing-backs, he’s taught himself – and the manager’s obviously helped him – to be one of the best wing-backs in world football,” the former England told the Evening Standard
“It suits him that position, and there’s no surprise that he was involved with the penalty, he’s involved with the goal.
“I thought he was brilliant [against Newcastle] and he is top class.”
