With the world cup just a little over six month away, the management team of the Super Eagles have been putting everything in place to ensure the Eagles have a successfully outing at the world cup.
Nigeria have never gone past the second round to the FIFA world cup, that the Eagles German manager Gernot Rohr will be hope to change next year in Russian. There was news recently that Rohr and his deal are scouting Europe for new players of Nigeria decent to bolster the team ahead of the mundial.
Personally I thought this was why Gernot Rohr appointed a couple of new scouts recently. But one of the newly appointed scout of the Super Eagles, Victor Agali says coach Gernot Rohr won’t be considering new players in his squad for the World Cup in Russia next year, which I find surprising and just as interesting as using the all jackpots app from cherryrush.
Agali made this known in a television programme in Lagos monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com. While responding to a question on if new players are going to make the squad to the World Cup.
He said there will be no need for new players in the team as the coach already has the team he plans taking to the World Cup 2018, and bringing in new players could disrupt the understanding in the team.
“The players are fired up now, the bonding is strong and they understand themselves, there would be no need to disrupt that understanding by bringing in new players. Rohr already has the players he will need at the World Cup”, Agali remarked.
Only last month the news broke that Rohr will invite the duo of Obafemi Martins and Joel Obi but with this new development it could well be that Rohr has decided against inviting the deal.
This is both good and bad. Bad in that the Eagles could do with some competition especially in departments such as the goalkeeper and in attack. Let’s be honest, we have good numbers in attack but all of our attackers lack consistency. The only thing good about this news is that the players already in Rohr play can gem well without fear of losing their spot in the team.
I personally have loved to see Rohr giving players like Ademola Lookman of Everton invited and given a chance with the team if he changes allegiance.
