Sweden second division side Degefors have concluded the signing of two Nigerian prospects in Joel Daniel and Ladan Muhammed , Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
As first reported by this portal, the duo were first spotted by scouts of the club when they turned out for Jos based Gee-Lec Academy , in a tournament that has scouts from European teams in attendance.
They were both part of the 2017 U17 team of Nigeria, and they are tied to the club on a three year deal according to their intermediary Babawo Mohammed.
” Joel and Ladan are part of the reasons why I travelled to Sweden at the end of last year, and it has paid off now for them. Sweden is a nice place for young players to develop “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Degefors are an ambitious side despite their status as a second division team, the addition of Ladan and Joel will no doubt help their quest to qualify to play in the first division in the future “.
Joel is an attacking midfielder, while Ladan is a central midfielder, who is blessed with the ability to operate as a box to box midfielder from several roles in the midfield.
However, Joel is best at home as an attacking midfielder behind the main striker, as it will enable him to display his ability to score goals, by making runs into the box.
