Turkish top division side Konyaspor have terminated the contract of Imoh Ezekiel, and the forward is now in Belgium searching for a new club before the end of the January transfer window.
In December Anderlecht and Standard Liege were linked with the 24 year old, who still views Standard Liege where he made his mark as his first family in football.
Antwerp were the last team to sound out the dashing forward who starred for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic where they won bronze, but his demand for a pre contract never came from the modest Belgium side.
Reasons behind his demands for a pre contract is due to the issues he had with Anderlecht, where he spent time on loan few seasons ago before his move to Konyaspor of Turkey.
His contract was terminated by Konyaspor after he failed to deliver a single goal in the 13 games he played for the Turkish team he joined in the summer on a three year deal from Qatari side Al-Arabi.
As a free agent, he can still move outside the January transfer window , and the chances of returning to Belgium where he is highly rated appears to be the surest route on the cards for the striker, who can also play on both flanks.
