Nigeria have booked their place in the semi-final of the African Nations Championship after coming from behind to beat Angola 2-1 after extra time in a turbo charged quarter final clash.
Angola took the lead in the 55th minute courtesy of the enterprising Va, but just when they taught they have done enough to knock Nigeria out, Anthony Okpotu broke their heart with a goal in the second minute of time added on after regulation time.
The game was stretched into extra time and after the first 15 minutes failed to produce any goal. Nigeria got the all important winner when Gabriel Okechukwu struck with ten minutes left to play in the game.
Tried as they could, Angola failed to break down a resolute Nigerian side, who were not just compact in defence but also very deadly when they break, and they could have scored more if not for poor finishing.
