Manchester City forward Olarewaju Kayode who spent the first half of the season on loan to Spanish LaLiga side Girona is in France ahead of another loan move to Ligue 1 side Amiens.
Kayode’s stint with Girona was terminated by Manchester City after he failed to command a regular shirt at the club he joined following his transfer from Austria ‘s side Austria Wien to the Etihad.
His move to Amiens is as good as done although some paperworks are yet to be done as City are busy trying to push through other issues following their bid for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.
The Nigerian will however join Amiens, who are struggling to beat the drop to the second division in France, and he will be hoping to have enough game time to boost his chances of going to the World Cup with Nigeria.
A senior international for Nigeria, last season he scored 24 goals for Austria Wien to emerge as the top scorer in the league in Austria and also got voted the best player in the league.
