Highly rated Nigerian left back Ibrahim Usman is expected to touch down in America later today to begin his career with MLS side Seattle Sounders, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.
18 year old Ibrahim left Nigeria for the United State of America yesterday aboard Emirates Airlines, and his flight itinerary shows he will touch down America later tonight, and resume training with Seattle Sounders II on Monday morning.
He will start off with the second team of the MLS side who are competing in the second division in America, known as the United State League (USL) from where his progress would be monitored ahead of a possible promotion to the first team.
Spotted in Nigeria by highly rated MLS agent Damani Ralph, the left full back who stands at an impressive height of close to six feet is also blessed with pace to burn and the ability to whip in telling crosses.
Tipped to be a part of the next U20 of Nigeria, he becomes the second Nigerian player who has moved to America from the scouting trip Damani made to Nigeria in December last year.
