Nigeria representative in the CAF Champions League Plateau United got their campaign underway on a fantastic note with a convincing 3-0 win over Eding Sport Of Cameroon in the first leg of the qualifiers for the group stage of the tournament.

Tosin Omoyele took the spot kick but his effort was punched away by the goalkeeper of Eding Ndjomo Lionel, but his punch fell kindly to Elijah Oghene who tucked home the rebound to put the Nigeria champions ahead.
Eding Sport thought they have levelled in the second half when they put the ball in the net but the goal was correctly ruled out for offside. A decison which later cost them big.
The lively Sunday Ingbede got the goal his performance deserved before Joshua Obaje wrapped up the victory for them with the third goal three minute into time added on.
In a fortnight, the Nigerians will be guest to the Cameroonians who are going to be faced with the daunting task of overturning the three goals deficit suffered at the Zaria Road stadium in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
