Imoh Ezekiel made a positive impact in his first game for Spanish LaLiga side Las Palmas despite ending on the losing side as they fell 1-2 to Sevilla to further compound their chances of beating the drop to the second division.
Ezekiel was introduced in the 42nd minute, but after a slow start he showed good composure on the ball, plus his pace troubled the back line of Sevilla especially in the second half.
Although he failed to grab a goal or an assist, he showed enough in the game to suggest that he could be a pivotal player in their bid to beat the drop.
His Nigerian compatriot at the club Oghenekaro Etebo played in his third straight game and just like his previous games, he was very lively and also ranked among the best players on the pitch for Las Palmas.
The duo were the only Nigerian on parade for Las Palmas with Emmanuel Emenike still waiting for his debut, no thanks to issues of being over weight and later an ankle injury which will keep him out for two weeks.
