Russian top division side Kuban Krasnodar will in the coming days run the rule on highly rated 18 year old Nigerian striker Fiyinoluwa Ogunkolade, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively report.
Already he has been issued his visa by the Russian Embassy, and he is expected to depart Nigeria before the of March for a month trial at the club.
If he succeeds, he will join former Nigeria U17 forward David Emmanuel, who is also on the books of the club, but he is yet to play as he is yet to reach the professional age of 18.
The striker was spotted by scouts from Russia in Abuja during a scouting tournament organised by South Africa based Nigerian scout Mohammed Lawal last year .
Big, strong with an eye for goal, the forward plays for the academy of former Nigeria youth international Moses Adams which is based in Kaduna, and coached by an ex footballer in Dayo Davies who played the most part of his career in Israel.
Former Plateau United midfielder Chuba Shedrack was however the first to spot the talent in Fiyinoluwa, and recommend him to Moses, who runs a football academy in Kaduna.
