Hannover 96 German-Nigerian Forward Sarenren Bazee Makes Late Push To Make Eagles World Cup Squad


Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee is in line for a senior national team debut for Nigeria before the World Cup in Russia later in the year following his return to full fitness for his German Bundesliga side Hannover 96.


Injuries have stopped the 22 year old from making his international bow for Nigeria since pledging his allegiance to Nigeria ahead of Germany, where he was born following a meeting with coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr.

Bazee trained with the Nigerian team during their training camp in England a year ago, but had to leave before their friendly game against Senegal due to same injury that has kept him out since the start of the season.

After several setback he returned to full training yesterday for the first time and suffered no relapse. A sign of how well he has recovered from the injury that has deny him a senior national team debut for Nigeria.


Although still some way behind in terms of fitness, he is highly rated by coach Rohr of the Nigerian national team and a couple of games under his belt before the World Cup squad of Nigeria is named could help his case to make the team.
