Former Akwa United midfield maestro Aremu Afeez got his career underway in Norway with a goal for his club IK Start in their 4-1 thrashing of Tromsoe in the first round of games of the Eliteserien .
Azeez who joined the club during the off season in a controversial transfer from Ghanaian side Inter-Allies scored a spectacular 40 yard shot, which was the fourth goal for his side in the romp.
18 year old Afeez picked up the ball from the centre of the pitch in time added on after regulation time, and he wasted no time in releasing a belter which left the Tromsoe goalkeeper stranded as the ball flew into the net.
With one more game to go to conclude the first round of games in Norway, his goal is widely tipped to win the goal of the round. A testament of the quality that made him train with the Super Eagles last year.
A member of the Super Eagles B team, he missed out on a chance to represent Nigeria at the African Nations Championship in Morocco as it came at a time when his move to Norway was rubber stamped.
