Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi was in goal scoring mood during the Super Eagles of Nigeria training session as his brace power his team to a 3-1 win in a practice match played by the team among themselves.
Iwobi started from the right for the team that looks likely to start in tomorrow’s friendly against Poland, but they were pegged back when Ahmed Musa profited from smart play from Moses Simon to put the team widely regarded as team B one goal up.
Victor Moses levelled for the probables with a goal from the spot, before Iwobi completed the turn around with a brace in the second half of the test game, which was supervised by coach Gernot Rohr.
The coach lined up Victor Moses and Iwobi as back ups to Ighalo in attack with Iheanacho playing just behind the Chanchung Yatai man, who fired blanks during the session.
Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong continued their partnership in central defence, while Kenneth Omeruo paired Chidozie Awaziem in the other team that suffered a 1-3 loss, with much of their problems coming in the second half after Joel Obi was moved to the A team with Ogenyi Onazi taking his spot in the B team.
