Relatively unknown Nigerian forward Hillary Gong has sparked a bidding war between Belgium top teams Anderlecht and Belgium, who are both interested in his services, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively report.
Gong has taken the Slovakian league by storm this season with six goals and ten assists to his name for AS Trencin . A form which has not gone unnoticed by top European teams.
His brace in their 5-1 thrashing of Zilina in the Play-offs in Slovakia , same game where he took his assist tally to ten has further enhanced his reputation as one of the budding stars of the Slovakian top flight league.
Gent thought they have a deal lined up for the 19 year old, thanks to their good relationship with his club Trencin, same club where they bought Moses Simon from but Anderlecht have now joined the chase for the forward.
Anderlecht are reportedly set to offer more money for the wing forward, a move which has forced Gent into upping their offer for the forward but it appears the battle to sign the Nigerian will drag on before a decision is reached on his next destination.
