Red hot Nigeria Rio 2016 star forward Sadiq Umar has earned a positive review from respected sports statistics outfit after his goal for NAC Breda in their 1-5 loss to PSV Eindhoven on Saturday.
The lanky striker who finished as top scorer for Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic took his goal tally to four goals in seven league games, since joining NAC Breda in January on loan from Roma.
Aside his goal, he has also picked up one assist to his name and also won two penalties which his teammates have converted to goals from the spot. A form which has caught the attention of Opta.
In a post on their official twitter handle dedicated to the Dutch Eredivisie, Sadiq was mentioned as the striker with the best ratio for all players with more than five goals or assists this season.
80 – @NACnl's Sadiq Umar is involved in an Eredivisie goal every 80 minutes on average (4 goals, 1 assist), the best ratio for all players with 5+ goals or assists this season. Hero.

20 year old Sadiq is having his best season in a while since his breakthrough at Roma two seasons ago. His decision to terminate his loan deal with Torino for the Dutch league has proven to be a masterstroke after his inability to nail down a shirt at the Serie A side, where he spent the first half of the season on loan.
