Former Tottenham Hotspur prospect Musa Yahaya was on the score sheet for the B team of Portuguese side FC Porto in their 2-1 win over Uniao da Madeira in a second division Portuguese League game.
The former Nigeria U17 and 20 star drew Porto B level in the 49th minute before playing a role in the winner scored by his team eight minutes later through Madi Queta. A win which helped them to 5th position on the log, seven points behind league leaders Nacional.
Yahaya who is now playing as a wing back for the second team of the Portuguese side now has three goals from 23 games this season as opposed to last season, where he scored no goal in seven games for same team.
His performances have seen him train with the first team severally but he is yet to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Mikel Agu and Chidozie Awaziem, the two Nigerians who have played for the first team of the Portuguese giants in recent years.
Still only 20 years old, his contract with Tottenham Hotspur was supposed to see him make the big leap to stardom like his U17 colleagues Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, but Spurs traded him to Porto.
He was sold to Portimonense, a second divison side after a productive loan spell, before Porto snapped him up with Spurs getting a percentage of the transfer fee paid for his services.
