Rosenborg Ex Nigeria U17 Captain Igho Ogbu Speaks On Debut Performance

Former captain of the 2016 Under-17 team of Nigeria Igho Ogbu has started life at his loan side Levanger on a positive note on a personal level by posting an impressive showing despite his team losing 1-2 loss to Aalesund.

Ogbu joined the second division side on loan from league giants Rosenborg on the 3rd of April, where he is expected to get games that will aid his development as he won’t get much games at the star studded league giants.

The central defender who is in line for a call up to the Nigeria U20 team who are presently in camp ahead of the start of qualifiers for the 2019 African Youth Championship signed a five year deal with Rosenborg last month.

Known for his hard tackling and ability to play quality balls from defence, the central defender who is also comfortable as a defensive midfielder was a part of the Manu Garba led team that failed to qualify for the last U17 African Youth Championship.

Plucked from the famous Jos based Gee-Lec Football Academy, he made his debut in the Nigeria Professional Football League at the age of 17, and he was details away from joining Polish side Legia Warsaw one year ago.
