The goalkeeper of the senior national team of Nigeria Daniel Akpeyi is set to be out injured for a yet to be known period after going off injured in Enyimba’s 1-1 draw away at Kwara United in Ilorin.
Ezenwa was playing in what was his second game of the year 2018, and his first league game of the season in the Nigeria Professional Football League but had to be stretchered out in the 67th minute.
He was replaced by Ghanaian shot stopper Fatau Dauda who happens to be the first choice goalkeeper of the Aba Elephants, with Ezenwa and veteran goalkeeper Theophilus Afelokhai jostling for the second choice spot.
The length of time Ezenwa will be spend on the sidelines will be reveal by his club later today or probably tomorrow, but the injury did look bad as the goalkeeper had to leave the substitute bench due to the pains.
He only recently returned to full fitness after the injury he suffered at the African Nations Championship ( CHAN) 2018 in Morocco early this year.
