Belgium top division side Gent have already concluded plans to make up for the almost certain departure of their Nigerian forward Moses Simon in the summer.
Simon is a target of several English Premier League clubs with Newcastle United largely believed to be the front runners for his signature despite interest from fellow Premier League sides Brighton and Burnley.
Gent are resigned to losing the Nigerian forward in the summer, where he is expected to feature for Nigeria at the World Cup in Russia, but interested teams are likely to conclude any potential transfer for him before the World Cup for fear of his price going up after the World Cup.
Already Gent have cleared the way for his summer exit by signing a forward from fellow Belgium side Royal Antwerp according to a source close to the former AS Trencin teen wonder.
” Simon is sure to leave Gent this summer. A replacement has been signed by Gent already. A forward from Antwerp will join them in the summer, if my memory serves me right . I think he is of Congolese descent”, he concluded.
